Strawberry Rhubarb Danish

Homemade Strawberry Rhubarb Danish, my first attempt at making from scratch, with a little help from my bread machine.  Who knew it could be so easy!  The machine does all the kneading and rising of the dough for you.

I added butter, cream cheese, egg, and a little extra sugar to the basic bread recipe. All you have to do is take the dough out of the bread machine, after dough cycle is done, form to the shape you prefer.  Place on a greased cookie sheet, cover with cloth or napkins, let them rise a little.  Add a favorite fruit type filling. (Solo filling is a good one).  I made up my own by mixing preserves and pie filling, I cooked on stovetop for a few minutes to thicken.


After adding filling to your dough shapes bake in preheated oven (350), for about twenty five minutes and you have homemade danish. I added the glaze on top of the danish while it was still hot.
